Our training and development opportunities not only give you the skills you need to do your job well, but the ability to provide terrific levels of service. Whether you are a new or experienced technician, an advisor, a branch customer services advisor, or part of our support function and management teams, we’ll provide you with training for both professional and personal success.
If you choose to become a technician you’ll attend our Startline Programme which is based at our National Skills Centre in Birmingham. This two-week course provides you with essential Health & Safety training as well as guidance on how to provide customers with the best levels of service. New recruits also gain hands-on experience of the vehicle glass replacement process.
And there’s plenty more opportunities to keep technicians equipped with the most up to date knowledge and skills – from Glass Repair and One Person Lift programmes to Ezi-Cut & Ezi-Wire training and Specialist Repair training. There’s even the chance to gain an NVQ Automotive Glazing qualification.
When you join our branch customer service team, you’ll have access to a wide range of training opportunities to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to do your job well. These include auditing, technical awareness, stock management, influencing and world class service skills.
As part of this team you’ll receive a comprehensive three week technical & skills development course. You’ll then be invited to attend a three week coaching session led by our polishing team whose aim will be to help you address your own personal development needs.
There’s also our World Class Advisor Training – a series of courses to help all of our advisors provide the best levels of service for every customer who calls Autoglass®.
We’ve a comprehensive range of courses to enhance both personal and professional skills, starting with our Managers’ Foundation Programme. This gives new managers an overview of all aspects of the business from audit and finance to technical awareness, people management and world class service. For experienced managers, we offer our Leadership Programme.
Continuous learning is a fundamental part of our culture with everyone invited to join the Autoglass® Development Club. This service provides employees with monthly updates on learning and development opportunities including access to the Ashridge Virtual Learning Resource Centre – one of Europe’s top ten Business schools.
